Topic: Mandali Stories from Nick PrincipeDear folks of Baba, Again, by popular request, Nick Principe will be our guest. Nick went to India many times beginning in the 1970s and has many stories of being with Baba’s mandali in Meherabad and Meherazad. He also had a very close relationship with Baba’s family in Pune, including Baba's brothers Jal and Behram and the twin nephews, Sohrab and Rustom. Mani used to refer to Nick as the third twin nephew. Being around Jal, Nick heard many of the jokes told by him to Baba, and he has a fund of humorous stories of his own. Nick is sure to get us in the mood for the holidays with his stories. I wish you all a Baba-full holiday season, and we will meet again on January 8th. He came to follow Meher Baba in Manhattan during 1986. His first publication for Baba was, A Mirage Will Never Quench Your Thirst: A Source of Wisdom about Drugs (2003), aimed at helping the youth of America to stop using drugs, and to find a natural high through the life of the spirit. That project connected him with Don Stevens, and they worked together for Baba from 2002 until Don’s passing nine years later. During that time, Don asked Laurent to help a specific Baba group with forgiveness, which resulted in a seminar series, “Forgiveness with Meher Baba,” and a book of the same title. The forgiveness work spawned an urge to apply a similar approach with surrender. The seminar Surrender with Meher Baba was created, and that led to a book with the same. His most recent book is, An Almost Perfect Balance, the Authorized Biography of Don E. Stevens (Asheville: OmPoint Press, Nov. 5, 2022). Laurent is a Customer Success Manager specializing in Data Quality, as well as Use Case Discovery. He lives in North Carolina with his wife, three of their six children, and Khadija their loving cat. Laurent will begin the evening by speaking about his new book on Don Stevens. Vesta will be presenting stories of her life and experiences with Baba beginning with a Babazoom chat on Tuesday evenings, December 6th at 7:15 PST (10:15 EST).Hosting the chats will be Betty Lowman and Paula Roper. If anyone wants to share hosting, you would be welcomed to co-host! These chats will offer an intimate setting about how she heard of Meher Baba and her subsequent life staying at Meherazad from 1974 through 1979. She is looking forward to questions and discussion after the stories are told.The chats will begin with an experience she had on Thanksgiving Eve, 2021, when Baba 'visited' her; Mehera, St. Theresa, Gustadji and Arnavaz also play a part in this story. (Mani. Eruch and Goher show up as well.) The story ends with her Beloved Baba entering her bedroom and comforting her when she was experiencing extreme pain from the disease and resultant radiation burns and poisoning. It's a beautiful story that brought Rustom and Sohrab to tears. Ursula, Ed, and Eric were called Thanksgiving morning as well as Rick and Sheryl, Alexandra, and Maryann Barnhart. Vesta slept nearly 48 hours straight afterward. It's a tender tale of the perfect care of the Beloved when His children are in need.On December 13th she will share some of the experiences she had as a child that were laced with the mysterious and mystical...and visits from who she thought was Jesus until she saw the Ancient One Poster on a friend's living room wall. It was at this moment she realized the person in the photograph of Meher Baba was the same person who sat on her bed when she was a child; she instantly knew Jesus as Baba, and left for pilgrimage to India shortly thereafter.December 20th will explore the intimacy she experienced with Mehera and Baba on the first night she slept at Meherazad, laying on a mat in the sitting room of His House. Vesta watched in awe as Mehera's nightly adoration of her Beloved Meher Baba played out in front of her. She will tell how Mehera, nightly, spent time standing in front of Baba's photographs while speaking so lovingly to Baba. The intimacy is profound and reverential. It is a stunning story you won't want to miss.Some of Vesta's stories will elicit cool tears and others a good belly laugh! Some are tender, and others laced with Divine Humor as only Baba can contrive. Jacob Horsey grew up on the Sunshine Coast in Australia and unknowingly lived only 10 minutes away from Avatar’s Abode, where Avatar Meher Baba visited in 1958. As a young adult in the quest for Truth, Jacob accepted Meher Baba as the Avatar after investigating various spiritual traditions and masters.He has been very involved at Avatar's Abode with music, building, gardening and as a previous director on the board of trustees. Before Jacob had even heard of Meher Baba, his first guitar teacher was the late Australian Baba Lover and musician, Sam Saunders, who put many of Francis Brabazon's ghazals to music.Jacob currently lives in Western Australia, with his wife Elizabeth Horsey and their children Tajuddin and Tallulah.Come with your questions as Jacob would like to answer any questions you might have.This event was recorded live. Join us for spontaneous chat, more readings, songs, quotes, you never know what treasures will be uncovered! October 30-Our Most Profound Pilgrimage with BabaJai Baba, all. For tonight’s topic we were hoping to hear some of the stories of Baba’s personalized grace and presence in your lives. Our Baba goes to great lengths to ensure that we know He loves us. We feel one of the ways He does this is through our pilgrimages to visit Him.Through the journeys to His home, He pours His eternal Love on us. He showers us in serendipitous experiences that last a lifetime. The perfection in which Baba orchestrates minute details to ensure we feel welcomed is extraordinary. He remembers things that we ourselves even forget. Over the years at the Center and in India we have heard innumerable accounts of His personalized Nazaar over all His Lovers. After all, He knows us better than we know ourselves, and you best believe He uses that to His Divine advantage.We hope tonight can be a sharing of those experiences. This is God’s Work in the present. Maybe you visited the Center in desperation and the Avatar gave you an experience to help you carry on. Maybe, you curiously traveled to Meherana and were deeply moved by Baba’s infinite beauty. All of these experiences require laborious work and Divine timing from our Lord.This topic came to mind because I will travel to India tomorrow with the lovely Izzy. It will be her first trip. I have been there many times, but some trips stick out more than others. Some trips He doesn’t give us the experience we expect which can leave us feeling abandoned and doubtful. Some trips as you are packing your suitcase you feel an immense outpour of His Love before you even arrive . Why do you think that it is? Do you feel He waits until our hearts truly have the longing for Him? Or is it possible that when we feel He is absent from us what He is really calling for us to do is turn to Him at an inner level? We have felt that often when we go on pilgrimage with expectation He shatters it to create room for the only Reality-His. Is this your experience? He gives us exactly what we need, even if what we need is a true catalyst for uncomfortable growth. Have you had trips that were terribly trying, but lead you closer to oneness? Have you had trips that felt as if there was a Divinely blissful exchange of Lover and Beloved? Was there a trip in your early life with Baba that gave you the conviction to know He is who He says He is?We believe Baba does deep Work on us while we are on His centers. We have heard many stories of people having profound insights about the changes they need to make in their lives. Have you had any of those experiences? It is incredible the lengths Baba goes to in order to reach our hearts. Many pilgrimages in India are filled with great sickness that leave us weak and crying out for His help. Has this happened to you? Was there a closeness you felt to our Beloved in this malady?These are just a few examples, but I am sure you all have many more of your own.
